Hey! I'm a first-year student in the English literature department. I'm running for the position of outreach coordinator because I have experience managing business social media profiles, as well as being passionate about community involvement! I see this as a great opportunity to engage myself in student life and involvement as someone who is new to Concordia. I promise to do my best to oversee ASFA’s social media as well as outreach within the community in a way that is accessible and relevant to all. Vote for me because I believe inclusivity and advocacy is the most important aspect of being an outreach coordinator.
-
Hello everybody, my name is Wren and I'm running to be your new Outreach Coordinator at ASFA. I'm in my fifth year at Concordia and, in that time, have earned a BA in Communications and started a BA in History with a minor in Law and Society. I've worked with ASFA as the COMS Guild’s VP of Finances (2021-2022) and President (2022-2023) while being the Loyola Committee Chair. With these positions, I've organized cool events and initiatives, gaining experience in academic, finance, and social fields. As ASFA’s Outreach Coordinator, I'd explore various outreach strategies, both online and offline, reaching more students and promoting a diverse student life. My goal is to make Arts and Science students feel they can reach out for support, as navigating university can be daunting. I hope to help students network with people in more relaxed settings so they can leave university with life-long connections.
AHSCSA- Applied Human Sciences Student Association
VP Marketing
-
Hey! I'm Judy Batal, a psychology student with a human relations minor and a management background, and I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the AHSC VP Marketing position. My decision to run is fueled by the profound connections and friendships I've fostered within the AHSC community, shaping it into a home away from home—an especially significant aspect as an international student. The sense of belonging and warmth drives my commitment to enhancing and giving back to the AHSC community. If elected, I'll leverage my psychology and human relations expertise to ensure that all students are well-informed about AHSC events through targeted campaigns, interactive social media initiatives, and clear communication channels, fostering a more engaged and connected community. My goal is to ensure that every member experiences the same warmth and inclusivity that has made AHSC feel like a true family for me!! :))
VP Career Events
-
Hello, fellow AHSC students! My name is Routh, and I am running for Vice President of Career Events. I am in my third year of Human Relations and have been loving it so far.
I have event planning experience that I would like to apply to this role, by planning networking events for students and alumns. I understand how difficult it can be to determine what you can do with this degree after graduation, as AHSC can lead to a variety of professions. That is where I would like to step in and help. I intend to provide opportunities such as volunteering and internships that students can use to gain experience and discover their true passions. I also plan on giving resources like questionnaires or mentors students can reach out to find out what they like to do. I understand the struggle of not knowing what you want to do in the future, and I'd like to help others with that process by providing the tools I wish I had!

BSA - Biology Student Association
VP Internal
-
Hi! My name is Victoire Callies, and I’m running for the VP of internal affairs of the BSA. This is my first year at Concordia. To be honest, I don’t have much experience, but I want to start somewhere and I am ready to learn, and I am motivated to do the best I can to create stronger bonds between biology, ecology, cell and molecular biology, and systems and information biology students. In addition, I'd be honored to work with the association to create major projects and events that would stimulate the community even more. I believe that for us to progress, we must engage with professionals who have different points of view and different knowledge than what we are usually offered. It could only broaden our education and create more opportunities. Adding to that, I think that collaboration between students is even more important to create an inclusive, innovative and positive learning environment.

CASE - Concordia Association for Students in English
VP Academic
-
Dear voters: my name is Louise van Oel, third year in the Joint Specialization English and History. I've loved my time being involved in Concordia's vibrant English community—last year I was an editor on pixie literary magazine's first team, and now I'm a staff writer for Soliloquies Anthology. Most significantly, I have already been acting as interim CASE VP Academic since early October, attending meetings with faculty preparing for the tuition hike crisis. I am familiar with the department's faculty members, plans, and strategies, and so I believe that it is in English students' best interests if I continue in this position. Being out-of-province myself, I am committed to protecting us and everyone at Concordia from the effects of this unjust legislation. Your vote matters! Should you elect me, I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure we come through this crisis as strong as ever.
VP Communications
-
-
I'm a second year French student in Creative Writing at Concordia. Part of my degree is also the Marketing group electives, which inspires me a lot. I would be delighted to put all my knowledge and skills to help strengthen the links between the English students and the CASE to accompany everyone in their degrees through the events, as well as listening to their needs from the CASE.

Let's make our first year memorable together and set the foundation for a successful journey through the Health Kinesiology program! Thank you for your consideration! #VoteForTanya
-
Hey everyone,
I'm stepping up for the role of Kinesiology and Clinical Exercise Physiology Rep and here's why: I want us to have a program that's as lively and forward-thinking as the field we love. Think more hands-on work, real-world research opportunities, and the latest gear to train with. I'm all about creating a space where we lift each other up academically and prep for the real deal after graduation. Your vote means we're in this together to shape a program that's not just about getting a degree, but about setting the stage for us to be the next game-changers in exercise science.
-
My name is Victor and I’m currently in my third and last year of Kinesiology and Clinical Exercise Physiology. I’m excited to apply for the representative role in our kinesiology program. With a solid grasp of kinesiology principles and effective communication skills, I’m confident I can bridge the gap between students and faculty. My commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive environment aligns with the responsibilities of a representative. I am confident in my ability to contribute to the program's success by representing the interests of my peers and facilitating constructive dialogue.
JSA - Journalism Students Association
Executive of External Affairs
-
I will seek to fight for the students of Concordia's Journalism program going forward to make sure that we as a small program will be secure during any future times of uncertainty. I will strive to make the JSA a place where people feel welcome to share their ideas about how to make their lives and the lives of their peers better.
Executive Event Coordinator
-
Hello, my name is Claudia. My strength lies in my social nature, attention to detail, and my deep appreciation for connection.
I would love to serve as the Events Director for the JSA to create the most exciting events for us all on both academic and social fronts. I am committed to bringing new vitality to our association, ensuring that it shines brightly once again. I am excited to represent your needs and wants through my position. Let's work together to make this program a fulfilling and complete experience!
Executive of Finance
-
Hi everyone! My name is Demetra Kritsidimas and I am running for the position of Executive of Finance. When I’m not running around with a Zoom H6 and a camera or knee-deep writing a news story, I’m an Economics major…so basically, I know my way around numbers. I've also spent years in student councils, so I'm no stranger to getting things done. But here's the exciting part - I'm all ears when it comes to hearing what opportunities and activities all of us journalism students want to see. Your input and ideas are not just welcomed, but essential, in shaping a more inclusive and dynamic future!
-
Hello! My name is Evelyn Burnett and this is my first semester as a Journalism student. As a communications executive one of my main goals would be to reach out to journalism students and figure out what is lacking so that I can attempt to help the student body in any way I can. I would also like to use my title to promote events specific to the journalism program so that students can be aware of the things that are going on within the program. My goal is to connect with students and through the JSA to create a better connection between journalism students.
-
Hello, my name is Joji and I am running for Executive of Design in the upcoming JSA elections. I believe that what you look like can say a lot about yourself. For an association, having a strong visual identity helps solidify the trust our members have in us, ensuring our future. When you see a hastily put together poster for example, it communicates a hastily put together event, an event that you likely will be less interested in attending. For these reasons, I commit to designing effective and aesthetically pleasing communication that reflects the various point of views that make up our body, in other words, the point of views of our journalism students themselves.
Executive of Internal Affairs
-
My name is Soraya Yale-Ramanathan and I’m a first-year journalism student. I'm running for the position of Executive of Internal Affairs for your JSA. The responsibility of the Executive of Internal Affairs is to help fellow journalism students connect and advocate for their rights. I believe students have a right to education without discrimination, should anyone face any form of discrimination they should have someone they know will stand up for them. I will be the connection between yourself and the school, whether you need someone to confront a faculty member on your behalf or to get you the support you need. My fundamental belief is that I am the representative of the student's needs, and I will keep myself grounded in what students want from their University. If elected I will take every student's opinion seriously and host townhalls so that everyone can stay informed.
LSSA - Law and Society Student Association
VP Academic
-
My name is Adele Williams, and I'm thrilled to be a candidate for the VP Academics position in Law & Society. We've been collaborating on Law School and LSAT information sessions, and I'm eager for everyone to witness the results of our hard work!
VP Finance
-
My name is Arwa Alafandi and I am double majoring in Political Science and Public Affairs, with a minor in Law and Society. I have a lot of interest in Finance and I have some experience in managing budget due to a one year course taken in Public Affairs. I am applying for this position because I would like to be more involved in the university and this is a great way to do so since it is an association of students with the same background.
President
-
Hey everyone!
My name is Chris and I am a political science major and a law and society minor! I am running for President of LSSA as I believe that despite being a small minor, we have the possibility to do so much to better the experience due to the diversity within the Law and Society program! I have previous experience in the Political Science Student Association, the Arts and Science Federation of Associations and within the Concordia Student Union. I am looking forward to running for this position to provide a more inclusive, accessible, and elevated experience for all Concordia students!
My previous experiences have allowed me to work with diverse clubs and students groups, in person and online during COVID, and I am looking forward to implement my prior knowledge to bring the LSSA to new reaches. I believe that student participation is the backbone of the university experience, and so it is high time for undergraduate students to enjoy their program to the maximum!
-

Hi everyone!
I'm Simon, your current VP Internal Affairs for the LSSA. For the past 3 months, I have been acting as the interim President for the LSSA and would be honored to continue fulfilling my duty to our association as President, to ensure the best University experience for our Law&Society students.
As the spokesperson for the LSSA, I will be the main voice of the Law&Society students and make sure you are heard when it counts. I also pledge to continue coordinating the LSSA team's efforts towards making your year memorable, through networking events, social gatherings, bridging the gap between you and the world of law.
